A new hotel that opened in 2023, situated in the hills of Comporta. I couldn’t recommend it more for those that are looking for a moment of silence and break from normality.
With just 4 suites, each self serving, you rarely interact with other guests. They only serve breakfast, which is set up in your rooms each morning.
For those that are wanting to explore further into Comporta, you would need a car. Especially considering the hotel do not currently serve any meal other than breakfast.
Sublime Comporta
Much bigger in size, with three restaurants and a multitude of activities to choose from; whether it be the gym, tennis, the spa or a yoga class. You are able to spend the night with a private chef who will create a 12-course meal for those attending, all ingredients fresh from the garden.
Everything you may need is on site, all meals available as well as multiple bars. There is a lot more of a buzz here as it is busier, and more family friendly. They also have a beach restaurant which they can take you to, the food is delicious in a beautiful setting.
Vermhelo
Founded by Christian Louboutin, it is not the hotel you might expect. Rich in colour and design, even if you don’t stay but pop over for lunch, it is worth a visit. The interiors are breathtaking, character oozing from every corner.
Again, a car would be required to explore the town of Comporta, the village this hotel is situated in is very quiet.
